M.P popularly known as heart of India and having majorly agrarian based economy, is now rapidly emerging as a start-up hub. The State government has also taken many initiatives to boost the startup ecosystem. In 2016, it formulated the Madhya Pradesh Incubation and Startup Policy to align the State with the Centre’s ‘Startup India’ initiative. It intends to offer incentives to the State’s startups and incubators in addition to those provided by the Central government.
Many factors have contributed towards making M.P a start-up destination. Low operation costs, high infrastructure growth, economical cost of living, and being geographically located centrally is also giving a fillip to the ecosystem in the State.
From tech based to mental health start-ups, MP konnect lists five start-ups from Madhya Pradesh to look out for:
- Fresh Rooms
Fresh rooms is a Bhopal based hospitality start-up founded by Mr. Ashutosh Giri and Mrs. Priyanka Giri. It began with objective of providing best and smartest services to eat, relax and stay fresh. The concept is that single roof under which people get the cleanest and well- equipped toilets, with a place to rest and eat in the most hygienic way, with a cost affordable by all sections of Indian society, in a way of pay, use and redeem. It’s a package of all essential public utility under one roof with a provision of the Fresh room’s app where after every purchase one gets certain number of pointers that helps our customers to easily use the model of use, pay and redeem.
- Green and Grains
Green and Grains is agriculture centric start-up based in Bhopal founded by Mr. Prateek Sharma. The main idea behind green and grains was that people should know about the origins of fruits and vegetables they buy and consume as it is very critical part of their wellbeing and health. Green and Grains strives to bring that traceability.
They work with and train the farmers to grow vegetables, fruits, grains, spices etc. without using any synthetic chemicals e.g. fertilizers, pesticides and weedicides. They have happy customers because chemical free and quality food is home delivered at affordable prices. They aspire to supply all the raw food you need in your kitchen. Product basket has Vegetables, Fruits, Grains, Pulses, Spices and Locally Processed Food.
Green and Grains is incubated under the INVENT program of Government of India, at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta Innovation Park. They have also been part of We Invest accelerator program at AIC Banasthali Vidyapeeth.
- Home Guruji
Home Guruji is Jabalpur based Edtech platform founded by Mr. Nikhil Bhatnagar where they provide the students with their best tutor match (guru). It bridges the gap between the student and the teacher through 1-on-1 interaction. It is a B2B growth-oriented start up with active engagement opportunities for students, teachers, and women willing to start their career and firms. It equips them with hands on quality education through prioritized assessments, personality development skills and trainings like spoken English and free counselling.
- Security Bulls Intelligence
Security bulls Intelligence Pvt Ltd. is an Indore based information security firm offering an encyclopedic penetration testing & IT security assessment service for your organization. Security bulls founded by the best team of security researchers and led by Mr. Geet Vaishnav. The mission of the security bulls is to design, implement and maintain an information security program that protect the network, application and data against unauthorized use, modification, damage and loss.
- Mind Café
Mind Café is Bhopal based mental and emotional wellbeing start-up founded by Ms. Sneh Nigam. The objective is to create a safe space where people can heal themselves at their own pace and create their own transformational journey. They have also created a mentor based system called mentors lounge where people have the access to experts. Mind Café intends to synergize everyone working in field of mental and emotional wellbeing under one umbrella.
