Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) has launched its social media campaign ‘Intezaar Aapka’ to attract tourists to the state, post the COVID-19 lockdown.
“The campaign has been launched on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter,” corporation additional managing director Sonia Meena said. The campaign’s tagline which says Intezaar Aapka states that the state tourism understands the current situation and emotions of travellers who have been under the lockdown for over 100 days now. Travellers are eager and willing to come out of their houses with families and loved ones for if not far but a short weekend getaway.
Keeping such points in mind, the MPTB is promoting tourist places such as Ujjain, Panchmari, Amarkantak, Bandhavgarh, Kanha and Mandu, among others. The campaign will highlight all the key attractions of all these destinations, with a series of communication that talks about how ‘The destination is waiting for you’, hereby resonating with tourists’ thoughts of eagerness to travel and get out, as well as showing empathy with their situation.
In order to facilitate smooth and safe travel which keeps all the COVID-19 guidelines intact, the board has come up with short road itineraries mainly for two to three nights to save people from boredom of a weekend, along with interesting tour packages. From stay to excursion, everything will be planned according to the COVID-19 situation. The corporation is ready with tour packages of different durations that can suit the pockets of different income groups of people.
Under phase one of state’s unlock, the wildlife, parks and temples had opened from 15th June while in the second phase, all the ASI monuments have opened up from 6th July. The campaign has highlighted the destinations according to the phase.
