Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board has launched the #BufferMeinSafar campaign for wildlife lovers. The campaign aims to attract more tourists to the National Parks and wildlife sanctuaries in the state which are ready to host tourists following all the safety guidelines and precautionary measures.

During the monsoon months from July to September, the core areas of the forests are closed but the buffer areas of the forest remain open for access and exploration. The campaign title #BufferMeinSafar itself highlights that Madhya Pradesh Tourism will now offer activities in its buffer areas such as Wildlife Safaris, Bird Watching etc. Besides the thrill of spotting various species in the buffer zones, the extensive greenery is a sight for the sore eyes.

As the country is opening up for travel post lifting of lockdown and interstate travel ban now, MP Tourism is looking forward to launching innovative campaigns to boost the confidence of the tourists. It is also planning to launch specially designed tour packages that keep in mind safe travel and stay, with other precautionary measures to prevent COVID-19 infection during this pandemic. MP Tourism Board has now introduced short road itineraries, which involves 2-3 nights and offer people the option to avoid the boredom of a weekend. It also facilitates smooth and safe travel.

Madhya Pradesh boasts of being The Tiger State of the Country, with maximum tiger count in the country which stands at 526. It also constitutes six Tiger reserves- Bandhavgarh, Kanha, Pench, Panna, Satpura and Sanjay Dubri as well as 11 National parks & 24 Wildlife sanctuaries such as Ratapani Wildlife Sanctuary and Chambal Ghadiyal Sanctuary.
