In another boost to India’s growing road infrastructure, Highway Infrastructure Limited (HIL) has bagged a ₹310.08 million contract from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to manage and maintain the Chotiya Toll Plaza on the Katghora–Shivnagar stretch of NH-111 (New NH-130) in Chhattisgarh.
The one-year agreement allows HIL to handle toll operations along a 2-lane highway with paved shoulders, covering a span from km 82.5 to km 163.4. Alongside toll collection, the contract includes upkeep of nearby public facilities such as washrooms and rest areas, ensuring better comfort for commuters.
HIL clarified that the project is an independent win — with no involvement from its promoter group — reaffirming transparency in its operations.
This partnership marks another step in NHAI’s ongoing mission to modernize India’s roadways and enhance the experience of daily travelers. By engaging private infrastructure experts like HIL, the authority aims to strengthen both operational efficiency and service quality across national highways.
Headquartered in Madhya Pradesh, HIL has established itself as a multi-sector player in toll
management, EPC infrastructure, and real estate. With a track record of completing 27 tollway projects and currently operating four, the company continues to integrate advanced ETC (Electronic Toll Collection) and ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) systems for seamless tolling experiences.
Beyond toll operations, HIL’s EPC division has successfully delivered more than 60 projects
across roads, bridges, and irrigation networks under major national schemes such as PMAY and PMGSY. The company is also expanding its real estate presence in Indore, with upcoming residential and township projects.
For the fiscal year 2024–25, toll collection accounted for over 77% of HIL’s revenue, followed by its EPC and real estate divisions. As of May 2025, the company’s total order book was valued at ₹6.66 billion, reflecting strong momentum across all business verticals.
This new Chhattisgarh contract further reinforces HIL’s position as a trusted partner in India’s infrastructure growth story—balancing operational excellence with a focus on improving everyday travel experiences.
