Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh: Strengthening its position in India’s power transmission sector, Paramount Communications Limited has announced plans to establish a new greenfield manufacturing facility in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh. The company will invest approximately ₹300 crore in the project, which is expected to significantly enhance its production capabilities for high-voltage cable solutions and specialized transmission products.
The upcoming facility will focus on manufacturing Extra High Voltage (EHV) cables of up to 132 kV, specialized conductors, and elastomeric e-beam cables. These products play a crucial role in supporting India’s growing demand for reliable power transmission infrastructure, renewable energy projects, and expanding data center networks.
According to the company, the expansion aligns with the country’s increasing investments in electricity transmission networks and clean energy initiatives. As India continues to modernize its power infrastructure, the demand for advanced cable technologies is expected to rise, creating new opportunities for domestic manufacturers.
The project is scheduled for partial commissioning in the first quarter of FY28. Once operational, the facility is expected to contribute significantly to the company’s growth plans. Paramount Communications aims to generate around ₹500 crore in revenue from the plant during FY28, with projections reaching nearly ₹1,200 crore by FY29 as production scales up.
Industry experts believe that such investments will not only boost manufacturing capacity but also support employment generation and industrial development in Madhya Pradesh. The move further highlights the growing importance of domestic manufacturing in meeting India’s ambitious energy and infrastructure goals.
With this strategic expansion, Paramount Communications is positioning itself to capitalize on the increasing demand for high-performance transmission solutions while contributing to the nation’s journey toward a stronger and more sustainable power ecosystem.
