The CII Madhya Pradesh Skill Summit 2020 took place on 31st August 2020. Organized in collaboration with AISECT, IES University and Sytech, the online webinar was held under the initiative of a State level panel on higher education and skill development of CII.
One of the keynote speakers, Anurag Shrivastava spoke on industry problems and how the industry is grappling with COVID-19’s impact and lack of workflow.
Venkatesh Sarvsiddhi ,Head- Digital Service and Innovation, National Skill Development Council spoke on how the market for education and digital education is growing continuously. Such a situation is increasing the demand for online courses run by various institutions, which will be helpful in developing the skills of students as well as professionals.
Sunita Sanghi, Senior Advisor-Skill Development Ministry, Government of India, said that due to COVID-19, there has been a considerable impact on the economy. Many job roles have changed and new sets of skills are needed to accommodate them.
Commissioner of Technical Education Department, P Narhari informed about the need for skill development activities and the initiatives taken by Madhya Pradesh government in the same, with respect to the development of the state. He mentioned that how skill development can be conducted through a public-private partnership and with thorough innovative steps, the goal of self-reliant Madhya Pradesh can be easily achieved.
Apart from this, Siddharth Chaturvedi, Chairman- CII Bhopal Zone and Convener as well as Co-Convener of the panel on higher education of CII, were also present.
