Indore: The Association of Industries in Madhya Pradesh (AIMP) has taken a critical step to secure the Sanwer Road industrial area’s long-term growth and environmental sustainability by naming nodal industries in each sector. This effort aims to oversee development projects, improve infrastructure, and protect the green belt in one of the region’s oldest industrial zones.
The Sanwer Road industrial area consists of six sectors and is home to roughly 2,000 businesses. To properly manage development operations, AIMP has chosen two industries in each sector as nodal points in charge of supervising numerous duties. This comprises infrastructural improvements, water recharge projects, and plantation activities.
“We have identified two industries as nodal in each sector, with responsibilities for planting and other development activity. “Our priority is to upgrade infrastructure, improve water recharging capabilities, and increase green cover in the industrial area,” said AIMP president Yogesh Mehta.
One of the major infrastructure projects presently ongoing is the installation of street lights over a 4-kilometer stretch in sector C. The projected cost of this project is roughly Rs 80 lakh, which would be covered by the industries themselves. “We are in the process of inviting bids to complete this job. “This infrastructure upgrade is critical for the safety and security of our employees and industries,” Mehta stated.
In addition to lights, the group is promoting water conservation. Industry members have agreed on a proposal to install a water recharging system in open places such as gardens and convention centers in the area. “We are adding water recharging tunnels in four areas to assist improve the water levels.
AIMP’s effort not only strives to increase operational efficiency and safety in the industrial region, but it also highlights the importance of environmental sustainability. By incorporating companies directly in maintenance and development initiatives, AIMP fosters a collaborative approach to establishing a more sustainable industrial ecosystem.
