Vijaipur, Madhya Pradesh – GAIL (India) Ltd, a state-owned firm, has successfully specially made its first green hydrogen plant at the Vijaipur complex in Madhya Pradesh, an important step forward in the company’s increase into new and substitute energy sources. The 10-megawatt proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyzer, imported from Canada, is a key module of India’s transition to a sustainable energy future.

The plant will generate about 4.3 tonnes of green hydrogen per day, with an outstanding clarity of 99.999 percent by volume. This green hydrogen is made utilizing power supplied from renewable sources, such as solar energy, which divides water into hydrogen and oxygen via an electrolyzer.

This ability represents an important step forward for India’s largest natural gas transmit and sharing solid, as it aligns with the National Green Hydrogen Mission’s goal of producing 5 million tons of green hydrogen per year. GAIL’s choice reflects India’s broader policy of accepting hydrogen as a feasible fuel, cutting carbon emissions while gathering rising energy demands.

Initially, the hydrogen shaped from this unit will be used as a petroleum down with natural gas for imprisoned purposes in various processes and tackle at the obtainable Vijaipur plant,” said GAIL. also, plans are in place to give out this hydrogen to sell to customers in nearby regions, elated through high-pressure cylinders.

This inventive project not only demonstrates GAIL‘s pledge to sustainable energy solutions but also lays the foundation for the country’s future efforts in green hydrogen production. As India focuses more on hydrogen to meet environmental goals and energy needs, the Vijaipur facility serves as a sign of growth and possible in the renewable energy division.
