The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) made a grand impression at FITUR 2025, a globally renowned travel exhibition held in Madrid, Spain. By highlighting the state’s rich cultural heritage, diverse wildlife, and spiritual destinations, MPTB captivated international tourism professionals and opened new doors for tourism collaboration. The state’s participation underscored its growing prominence on the global tourism map.
The spotlight was on Madhya Pradesh’s UNESCO-listed World Heritage Sites, including the iconic Khajuraho Group of Monuments, the ancient Sanchi Stupa, and the prehistoric Bhimbetka Rock Shelters. Along with these marvels, the vibrant festivals and thriving wildlife sanctuaries, such as Kanha and Bandhavgarh, were among the many highlights that drew visitors to the pavilion.
The Madhya Pradesh pavilion was inaugurated by His Excellency Mr. Dinesh K. Patnaik, Ambassador of India to Spain. He was joined by Mr. Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, Hon’ble Minister of State for Culture, Tourism, and Religious Trusts, Government of Madhya Pradesh, along with key tourism officials, further elevating the importance of the event.
In addition to its presence at FITUR, MPTB expanded its global reach by organizing a vibrant roadshow in Barcelona on January 27, 2025. The roadshow was attended by distinguished guests, including H.E. Mr. Inbasekar Sundaramurthi, Consul General of India in Barcelona, and Mrs. Aarsha Nissar, Consul at CGI Barcelona. This event aimed to position Madhya Pradesh as the “Heart of Incredible India” among international travel professionals.
Presentations at the roadshow emphasized Madhya Pradesh’s stunning cultural heritage, diverse landscapes, and spiritual significance. They showcased the state’s renowned UNESCO World Heritage Sites and thriving wildlife, sparking B2B discussions and forging strategic alliances in tourism.
Commenting on the success of the event, Mr. Dharmendra Singh Lodhi said, “Madhya Pradesh is a land of untold stories, from UNESCO heritage sites to vibrant culture and natural beauty. FITUR and the Barcelona roadshow have opened new avenues for collaboration and global engagement.”

The delegation was led by Mr. Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, alongside Dr. Ilayaraja T, Managing Director of the MP State Tourism Development Corporation, Dr. Jeevan S Rajak, Officer on Special Duty to the Minister, and Mr. Vivek Jude, Deputy Director of Events and Marketing at the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board.
