Madhya Pradesh has added another proud moment to its name, winning the Best State Tourism Board Award at the India Travel Awards 2025, held at Le Meridien, New Delhi, on September 9. The prestigious honor was presented by Union Minister for Tourism and Culture, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, recognizing the state’s exceptional strides in innovation, sustainability, and excellence in tourism.
Expressing his pride, Shri Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Tourism, Culture, and Religious Trusts and Endowments, called the award a reflection of the people’s trust and Madhya Pradesh’s rich cultural heritage. He highlighted that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, tourism has become a key driver of growth, employment, and self-reliance. “This recognition strengthens our resolve to share Madhya Pradesh’s natural beauty, traditions, and heritage with the world,” he said.
Adding to the celebration, Shri Sheo Shekhar Shukla, Additional Chief Secretary and Managing Director of MPTB, credited the achievement to the team’s collective vision and dedication. He explained that Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board’s work goes beyond creating new destinations. “We focus on empowering women, strengthening local economies, preserving cultural traditions, protecting natural heritage, and promoting sustainable development,” he noted.
