The Madhya Pradesh government is actively strengthening its global presence by exploring strategic collaborations to promote tourism, innovation, and technology-led growth at the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos.
As part of its tourism promotion efforts, the state held discussions with JioStar to explore the possibility of documenting Madhya Pradesh’s rich cultural and natural heritage through high-quality video and audio storytelling. The proposed initiative aims to present the state’s tourism landscape in a documentary-style format similar to global platforms like National Geographic. Through this collaboration, Madhya Pradesh seeks to highlight its iconic destinations, including wildlife reserves, heritage monuments, spiritual centers, and scenic landmarks such as the Narmada River, Bhedaghat’s marble rocks, Khajuraho, Sanchi, Kanha, and Bandhavgarh, for an international audience.
In parallel, the state government engaged with global innovation leaders to accelerate technology-driven development. Discussions with the Israel Innovation Authority focused on adopting Israel’s innovation-led economic model, particularly in advanced and frontier technologies. Key areas of interest included quantum technology, defence innovations, water solutions, and deep-tech research. The interaction emphasized the importance of a strong research and development ecosystem supported by public-private partnerships and co-investment models that ensure commercial viability.
Madhya Pradesh expressed interest in building long-term collaborations in civil technology through structured government-to-government frameworks, startup-driven pilot projects, and joint innovation initiatives. Existing India–Israel cooperation platforms were identified as potential channels for joint laboratories, technology demonstrations, and startup support mechanisms.
Further strengthening its technology outlook, the state also explored opportunities in artificial intelligence and emerging digital solutions through discussions with global energy and technology advisors. AI-focused enterprises shared insights on advanced applications and cross-industry innovation models, including the development of open platforms designed to encourage global collaboration.
These engagements reflect Madhya Pradesh’s broader vision of positioning itself as a hub for tourism excellence and technology-enabled growth. By combining cultural storytelling with innovation partnerships, the state aims to attract global attention, investments, and collaborations that contribute to sustainable economic development.
