Tata Soulfull, the millets-based packaged food brand belonging to the Tata Group, is set to inaugurate its second plant in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The new plant boasts an impressive annual production capacity of 2,000 million tonnes. It is expected to commence operations within the next 10-15 days, according to Prashant Parameswaran, the Managing Director, and Chief Executive of Tata Soulfull.
Currently, over 80% of Tata Soulfull’s manufacturing occurs at its Bidadi plant in Karnataka. However, the company has ambitious plans for growth, aiming to achieve a remarkable 100% increase in market share by the end of the fiscal year in March FY24.
Tata Soulfull is also expanding its product portfolio. The brand is all set to introduce “Tata Soulfull Ragi Bites Choco Sticks” to store shelves within the next 7-10 days. Moreover, the company is actively exploring opportunities in six new categories to diversify its offerings.
Parameswaran is optimistic about the brand’s future and foresees entering 2-4 more categories over the next 12 months.
With a wide distribution network, Tata Soulfull products reach approximately 4-5 lakh stores across India, with uniform sales across east, west, north, south, and central zones. Notably, 50-60% of masala oats sales come from regions beyond the top 8-10 metros.
As the brand expands its operations, it remains committed to supporting farmers’ livelihoods by cultivating millets like jowar, bajra, and ragi, ensuring their incomes are protected. Tata Soulfull continues to deliver nutritious and sustainable food choices while driving positive change in the industry.
