IHG Hotels & Resorts is expanding its presence in India with the launch of a new Holiday Inn property in Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The company has signed a management agreement with Entry Point Hotels & Resorts Private Limited for the upcoming hotel, which is expected to open in the first quarter of 2031. This development highlights the growing potential of emerging Indian cities in attracting established hospitality brands.
Naya Raipur, the planned capital of Chhattisgarh, is gradually developing into an important centre for administration, business and commercial activities. With continuous infrastructure improvements, growing investment opportunities and better connectivity, the city is attracting increasing attention from corporate travellers, government officials and visitors. These developments are also creating new opportunities for the hospitality industry.
The upcoming Holiday Inn will be located in Sector 24, offering convenient access to major government establishments, public sector organisations, healthcare facilities and commercial centres. Its location will also provide connectivity to important administrative institutions such as Mantralaya and Vidhan Sabha, along with Swami Vivekananda Airport, making it a convenient option for business and leisure travellers.
The hotel is planned to feature 156 rooms and suites, three dining outlets and approximately 761 square metres of meeting and event space across four venues. Guests will also have access to facilities such as a swimming pool, fitness centre and parking. With these amenities, the property aims to accommodate corporate meetings, business stays, social gatherings and leisure visits.
This project reflects IHG’s continued expansion strategy in India’s growing hospitality market. As Naya Raipur strengthens its position as an emerging business and administrative destination, the demand for quality accommodation is expected to grow. The upcoming Holiday Inn is set to contribute to the city’s hospitality infrastructure while creating more options for domestic and business travellers.
