Artificial Electronics Intelligent Materials Limited (AEIM) has unveiled a major expansion plan that
positions Raipur as an emerging hotspot in India’s semiconductor roadmap. The company
announced its intention to invest ₹10,000 crore in its upcoming semiconductor materials
manufacturing facility in Nava Raipur by 2030. This marks one of the most ambitious high-tech
projects in central India, reflecting the sector’s rapid growth and the state’s push toward
advanced manufacturing.
AEIM has been allotted 11.28 acres of industrial land in Kosala Industrial Park by the Nava Raipur
Atal Nagar Vikas Pradhikaran (NRDA). The company has already initiated groundwork, with
construction expected to move swiftly using advanced post-tensioned slab technology. The first
phase of the project is targeted for completion by May 2026, setting the stage for timely scale-
up and early production readiness.
According to the company’s leadership, the investment aligns with Chhattisgarh’s industry-
friendly policies, including a capital subsidy of up to 40%, which has boosted confidence in
establishing high-tech infrastructure in the region. AEIM’s Executive Director, Vishaal Nandam,
highlighted that the facility is designed to create over 4,000 high-skilled jobs, nurture
engineering talent, and significantly contribute to the region’s economic development.
The Raipur plant will specialize in advanced semiconductor materials such as sapphire ingots,
wafers, and next-generation electronic substrates—components that play a crucial role in
modern electronics and chip manufacturing. Commercial production is expected to commence
by the third quarter of 2026, marking a pivotal moment for both the company and the state’s
emerging semiconductor ecosystem.
