Madhya Pradesh is preparing to fascinate visitors with three intriguing new attractions: a Museum of Music in Gwalior, a Diamond Museum in Panna, and a Geological Park in Jabalpur. These projects aim to showcase the state’s rich history, culture, and natural wonders, attracting visitors from all over the country.
Museum of Music in Gwalior
The ancient Moti Mahal in Gwalior, a stately palace with 300 rooms erected in 1825 by Maharaja Daulat Rao Scindia, will soon be home to the Museum of Music. With a budget of Rs 20 crore, including Rs 10 crore given by the union government, this museum will commemorate Gwalior’s musical legacy as well as India’s classical music history. Gwalior, famed as the birthplace of legendary Indian classical vocalist Tansen, has been designated by UNESCO as a Creative City of Music.
Diamond Museum in Panna
Another big attraction will be the Diamond Museum in Panna, which is housed in the 18th-century Yadvendra Bhavan on a hill overlooking Tata Dharmasagar Lake. This museum will chronicle the story of diamond mining in the area, demonstrating how diamonds are extracted and polished. Visitors will learn about Bundelkhand’s history and culture. The project is created with the aid of the Union Ministry of Mines.
Geological Park in Jabalpur
The new Geological Park in Jabalpur will provide an enjoyable experience for tourists interested in natural wonders and geological structures. Although particular information regarding the park have yet to be published, it is expected to be a substantial addition to Jabalpur’s attractions, increasing the state’s allure to tourists.
