A new 21 hectare industrial belt is being developed at Jaitpura in Dhar district, in an effort to boost the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) functioning in and around the area.
The proposed belt will house around 150 industries and generate about 4000-5000 employment opportunities. The administration and District Industries Centre (DIC) is looking to attract investment from electrical, food processing and auto ancillary units in the area.
Dhar collector Alok Kumar Singh informed that Dhar district administration has allotted around 21 hectare in Jaitpura to District and Industries Trade Centre for white category industries, out of identified total of 70 hectare being used to develop industrial belt for MSME sector. This will help in promoting industrialization in a pollution free environment, while also being in proximity to the main city. The rest of the locations identified in 70 hectare including Jaitpura are Badnawar and Manawar areas, which will have industries from food processing, agriculture equipment, fabrication and tribal art froms, to name a few. The proposed industrial cluster at Bagh Village will promote local and tribal art.
Various industry bodies demanded a proper eco system to support local business and small industries in the area. After a proper review and identification of their concerns, administration finalized three blocks of land that would take care of the basic needs of these industries and help them in performing to their full potential.
