Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) is strengthening its presence in central India with the signing of a new Ginger hotel in Nava Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The upcoming property will be developed as a brownfield project in partnership with ECHT Ventures, adding another hospitality offering to the rapidly developing administrative capital of the state.
The 111-key Ginger Nava Raipur is expected to cater to a diverse range of travellers, including business visitors, government officials and tourists. The hotel will feature spacious guest rooms along with Qmin, Ginger’s signature all-day dining restaurant. Meeting facilities and a fitness centre will also be part of the property, making it suitable for both business and leisure stays.
According to Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development at IHCL, the growth of India’s midscale hospitality segment is increasingly being driven by emerging economic and administrative centres. Nava Raipur is developing into an important micro-market due to its planned urban infrastructure and growing investment across multiple sectors. The new Ginger property is expected to benefit from this development and serve the increasing demand for organised hospitality in the region.
For ECHT Ventures, the partnership with IHCL represents an important step in the development of the project. The collaboration brings the Ginger brand to Nava Raipur, further expanding its presence across India’s growing urban centres.
