Air India Express is strengthening its presence in central India by introducing new domestic and international flight services from Madhya Pradesh. The expansion reflects the airline’s continued focus on improving regional connectivity while offering travelers more convenient travel options within India and abroad.
Starting August 1, 2026, Air India Express will begin operating regular flights from Bhopal, connecting the city directly with Delhi and Mumbai. The airline will offer two daily flights between Delhi and Bhopal and one daily flight between Mumbai and Bhopal, making travel easier for business professionals, tourists, and frequent flyers.
The new Bhopal services also provide seamless onward connectivity through the airline’s network. Travelers from the city will be able to reach several international destinations, including Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Dammam, and Sharjah, with a single stop. In addition, passengers will have access to multiple domestic destinations such as Goa, Guwahati, Jammu, Bagdogra, Kerala, and Varanasi, creating more travel opportunities without the need for complicated itineraries.
Alongside the Bhopal expansion, Air India Express is also boosting its international operations from Indore. Beginning July 15, 2026, the airline will launch a direct service between Indore and Abu Dhabi, operating three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The new route is expected to benefit business travelers, expatriates, and tourists by offering a faster and more convenient connection to the UAE.
With the addition of Bhopal to its route map, Air India Express now operates nearly 60 weekly flights across Madhya Pradesh’s three key airports—Bhopal, Indore, and Gwalior. The move highlights the airline’s strategy of expanding services in emerging regional markets while improving accessibility for passengers across the state.
The latest announcement comes as Air India Express continues to grow both domestically and internationally. The airline has recently unveiled several new overseas routes, including connections from Guwahati to Abu Dhabi, Guwahati to Dubai, and Navi Mumbai to Abu Dhabi. Today, the carrier operates approximately 500 flights every day, serving 43 domestic and 16 international destinations with a modern fleet of more than 100 aircraft.
As India’s aviation sector continues to witness strong demand, these new routes are expected to improve connectivity, encourage tourism, support business travel, and offer passengers greater flexibility. The expansion also reinforces Air India Express’ commitment to making air travel more accessible while strengthening links between regional cities and global destinations.
