The industrial landscape of Ratlam and its surrounding regions received a significant boost today with the commencement of a major industrial conclave aimed at showcasing the strength and potential of local industries. Organized with the support of trade associations and businesses from the region, the event has seen enthusiastic participation from various sectors eager to display their locally manufactured products. According to Rajesh Rathod, Executive Director of the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC), Ujjain, the conclave aims to make investors and industries aware of what the region has to offer. He emphasized that the event is not only about exhibition but also about building valuable connections between manufacturers and potential buyers, thereby opening up meaningful business opportunities.
The conclave includes a series of important technical sessions that focus on core aspects of industrial development such as MSME growth, skill enhancement, and investment facilitation. The MSME department is leading a session on “Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance,” aimed at supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises with insights and strategic support. Another session is being conducted by the Department of Technical Education, Skill Development, and Employment, which focuses on enhancing employability through skill-building initiatives. A third key session addresses the state’s investment policies and the ease of doing business, designed to attract new entrepreneurs and simplify industrial procedures.
To provide concrete support to business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs, various government departments have also set up dedicated pavilions at the venue. These pavilions are offering detailed information on schemes and initiatives currently available, with officials present to guide visitors through application processes, eligibility requirements, and the potential benefits available to them. This initiative is expected to make these government programs more accessible and actionable for the public.
Adding further momentum to the event, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is leading several high-impact initiatives as part of the conclave. He will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for more than 35 industrial areas, clusters, and infrastructure projects across the region, representing an investment exceeding Rs 350 crore. In addition to this, the Chief Minister will initiate projects worth Rs 1,500 crore, signaling a strong commitment to strengthening the industrial ecosystem of Madhya Pradesh. One of the key highlights of the event will be the distribution of land allocation certificates to 500 enterprises, enabling them to commence operations and contribute to regional growth without delay.
With its focus on empowering local industries, connecting them with investors, and promoting sustainable development, the Ratlam Industrial Conclave is poised to become a transformative platform. As noted by Rajesh Rathod, the event is expected to create significant business opportunities while fostering long-term partnerships and growth within the region. The conclave stands as a testament to the government’s proactive approach to industrialization and economic development, positioning Ratlam as a key hub in Madhya Pradesh’s industrial journey.
