Also attending were Jean-Marc Séré-Charlet, Consul General of France in Mumbai, and Sheo Shekhar Shukla, Principal Secretary for Culture and Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, alongside Akhilesh Verma, President of Alliance Française de Bhopal.
This collaboration reflects a strategic initiative to strengthen people-to-people relations through a rich cultural roadmap. Marking a significant cultural milestone, the Alliance Françaisede Bhopal celebrated the 63rd birth anniversary of Gond art legend Jangarh Singh Shyam with the exhibition JangarhKalam: A Vibrant Legacy on June 12. The exhibition featured the works of sixteen master Pardhan Gond artists, capturing the vibrancy of tribal myths, nature, and tradition.
This event embodied the MoU’s spirit: celebrating indigenous voices while fostering international appreciation for local art forms. Through such collaborations, Gond art is poised to reach new audiences, securing its place on the global cultural map.
