In a groundbreaking feat, Hinduja Renewables has clinched the winning bid for an 80 MW section within the world’s largest floating solar park, located along the serene banks of the Narmada River at Madhya Pradesh’s Omkareshwar reservoir. The coveted Unit C in Phase II was awarded by Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL), a collaboration between the Solar Energy Corporation of India and Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam.
With a notable tariff of Rs 3.89/kWh, this achievement underscores Hinduja Renewables’ commitment to sustainable energy. Notably, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) is backing the common infrastructure of this monumental project.
Encompassing two phases with a collective capacity of 600 MW, the floating solar park promises to be a beacon of renewable energy prowess along the revered Narmada River.
Hinduja Renewables’ triumph in the 80 MW tender reaffirms its strong foothold in the renewable energy sector. The company is also actively exploring opportunities in energy storage and green hydrogen domains to complement its robust renewable energy portfolio in the years ahead.
